Teaching methods

Noah has an issue with hitting some days...and today he ran towards livy full speed hands in the air to hit her....I had a water spray bottle in my hand and instinctually I gave him a little spray in top his head and it stopped him on his tracks. It didnt really phase him...but livy cried. "Mommy you can't squirt my brother!"

So I knelt down and said, " livy heavenly Father Gave me noah...and he told me to teach him how to be nice" 

Livy looked horrified....and said ," and so he TOLD you to SQUIRT him?????"

Humm...I guess not hahaha... lesson ....FAIL

I can can!

Okay, so for people who were raised doing this stuff this will seem like such a lame post. But I CANNED!! Woot woot! I seriously have NO ides why I feel so good about this but I'm feeling so happy about it! Last year the wonderful ladies of Henefer took me aside and showed me how to can my pears. I helped but really It still felt scary to me. I got my bushel of peaches this year and a super light syrup recipe from a neighbor...bought some canning equipment and just went at it......turns out...its just as simple as they make it out to be and I did it all by my lonesome. Yes I'm lame. But I'm a super happy lame gal!

I froze a bunch because we love shoving them through the juicer and making peach "ice cream" ....and now I'm going to make peach freezer jam with the rest .

Now I can't think off the top of my head which adjective we normally use with this phrase with Livy.....I'm pretty sure it is something like button hahah but I KNOW it isn't pastry!!

Today Livy was Playing with my hair and she finished and exclaimed, "THERE!! Oh mommy you look cute as a donut!"

Hahaha I'm thinking salad for dinner!

Noah's naughties

Okay because Noah seems to get into anything that can be gotten into and before you can even blink and realize what happened, I thought I better start documenting these for ammunition later on;)

So 2 days ago he turned the fridge all the way up and everything in the fridge froze solid.

A couple weeks ago he turned the headlights on in the van as we were getting out to go into church and when we got back in after.....well it was a long sweating hot walk home.

He flushed the the lyson toilet bowl cleaner clogging our brand new toilet.

Threw a full bowl of chocolate flavored cereal across the room and into our brand new honeycomb blinds .....boo

Opened my laptop and ripped off most all of the keys

Found a weak spot in the wall paper near his pack n play...and ripped of entire sections around him.....and in 3 other rooms in the house where he found loose spots.

Today I looked over at the printer.... And well the picture  speaks for itself haha

And many more that I will likely add to the new label " Noah's naughties"

Almost a mommy

Livy has a little yellow dress she's been waiting to fit  into... Today she begged us to try it and it was still too big. So I got out my magic pins and pinned it tighter. She got all excited and spun around , and exclaimed, "its absolutely perfect, I look so cute im almost a MOMMY!"

A quick sunday visit to the uintas

I am so very excited for summer and unfortunately because of that it feels like it is going by so quickly already. Opening another branch of our business is going to keep us so busy this summer we won't have a lot of time for the Uintas this summer; ( the small little day trips maybe all we get but I will take it.

The magical powers of the Temple.

Livy wants to be a mommy so bad, she is always asking when she can get a baby in her belly. We are always emphasizing she first needs to get married and of course we always mention the temple.

The other day when Jordy and I went to the temple and  returned home to relieve the babysitter, livy was far more excited to see me than usual jumping up and down and so excited. She screamed to me, " mommy?! So you have a baby in your belly now?!"

I guess we left out a few sequential details :-)

Livy of the day

On Sunday getting ready for church Livy came in holding my bra, she shoved it towards me and said all dramatic," mommy!? Put ON your boobs!!"

Then today sharing some snack mix together I said, "Livy are you my little buddy?" ....Livy said, " no mommy, im a little girl"

Get up!

Livy hasn't done fantastic having a toddler bed.  She is up in our bed sometimes as late as 5a.m.....sometimes more like 2.a.m. this particular morning she was in our bed at 5a.m.....tapping on my face every 5 minutes....kissing my head, anything to get me to wake up.

Finally she tapped on my face and said "PLEASE MOMMY can we get up now! Its like 40 o'clock!"

Guess I better get up;)
